About
I'm a psychotherapist with over 15 years of specialized experience in treating trauma, anxiety and stress-related issues. I also have broad experience with depression, grief, self-esteem and relational issues, substance use, and severe mental illness as many of these often co-occur as a result of past trauma.

I received my MA in art therapy from New York University, and my BA from Yale University. I also obtained post-graduate training from the International Trauma Studies Program, National Institute of Psychotherapies, as well as EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) training from EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Program.

Aside from helping clients in my private practice, my experience working with trauma-affected children and adults ranges from providing individual and group art therapy to women and children in crisis at domestic violence shelters to HIV-affected genocide survivors in Rwanda. I was previously on staff at an acute psychiatric care facility where I provided group therapy to patients with severe depression, schizophrenia, multiple suicide attempts, dual diagnosis and complex trauma histories.
My passion is to help those affected by traumatic experiences find healing, freedom and restoration through the use of creative arts and holistic supportive therapy.

Services
I provide individual psychotherapy in a supportive and safe environment. I specialize in treating anxiety, stress and trauma-related issues using an integrative and holistic approach that is customized for each individual client. I am trained in psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and other treatment modalities that complement each other to facilitate healing.
I also work collaboratively with other clinicians, and can offer adjunctive treatment if you already have a primary therapist but need additional targeted treatment, e.g. EMDR for past trauma.
