When words are not enough....
Talking helps with a lot of things. After all, there are reasons why psychotherapy is often referred to as "the talking cure." If you need someone to listen with empathy, compassion and support as well discernment and objectivity to help you with what you're currently going through, I would love to be there for you.
For others, though, talking is not enough. Sometimes words fail to capture what we are trying to express. You may have gone through experiences that you find difficult to put into words, or you may feel like you have already talked endlessly about the matter, but you still have not found the relief that you're hoping for.
This is where my integrative approach incorporating art, EMDR, mindfulness and other mind-body techniques can reach deeper, into where the wounds or traumatic memories are stored in our bodies. Survivors of traumatic experiences often become very disconnected from their bodies, and an important part of the healing process involves mobilizing and reconnecting with the body, so that you can feel safe and confident again in your own skin.
If you are ready to make a step towards change and tap into the resilience that's within, my desire is to help you on your journey towards wholeness in mind, body and spirit.
